Tamer Elgabaly was born in 1970 and spent his childhood in Heliopolis suburban east Cairo, his father was an architect who owned real estate investment co. and factory for furniture industry. Elgabaly studied architecture under graduated courses during the period 1989 – 1992, post graduated courses 1993 – 1994, at the architecture department, Ain Shams University, after qualifying as an architect Elgabaly started his career working for Dr. Farouk Al-Gohary's office designing the most interesting contemporary buildings at this time in Egypt, at the same time Elgabaly managed to find time to achieve his master degree in architecture by completion his thesis commercial atrium spaces between traditional & contemporary.

During the period 1995 -1999 he managed to achieve his PHD degree in architecture by completion his thesis " The designing factors sand standards of the regional shopping center-outskirts of great Cairo" during the period 2000-2006 his interest searches gave him expensive view of architecture, as a young architects.

His extensive training as an architect, lecture assistant, and furniture designer makes him one of the most distinctive architects in Egypt earning a wide fame for several sensational and innovative architectural projects and he was committed to the modern movements and the experiment approaches of architecture and planning.

Elgabaly creates his work within a unique contemporary design approach, local and international culture, by combining the free forms with strict geometry and modern materials, he transcends traditional limits and create unique buildings, among his most famous works are several resorts and hotels projects, such as the architectural, interior design and landscape for Serenity Sahl Hasheesh resort (5+ stars resort), façade remodeling of Blue Radissons SAS-Heliopolis, the architectural concept design for Hilton high town-Heliopolis, The interior design for Carols Makady Resort (phase 1&2)-Hurghada, the architectural, interior design and landscape for Sun & Sea Resort (4stars resort)- hurghada, the architectural design for Amarante El golf city-Al Obour. And the architectural design concept for Renaissance nasr city.

Ahmed is on a mission to help architects, façade designers, and developers to select the right glass for their projects. Ahmed graduated as a mechanical engineer and after that, he worked in the glass field. His passion is to share his knowledge in glass with the different stakeholders to help them select the right glass, making the building’s users feel comfortable and reducing the electricity consumption for a greener society. Ahmed started with Guardian as a specification manager in KSA. After that, he was the demand creation team leader in GCC and Pakistan. Most recently served as regional mega projects manager for Africa and the Middle East.

Medhat is the Managing Director and Senior Façade Specialist at ARKS Designs LLC, a leading façade consultancy company in Egypt/Canada. He has acquired a vast experience in Façade design and engineering of many distinct and highly significant projects at several regions and countries including Egypt, KSA, UAE, Libya, Bahrain and Canada. After his Architectural Engineering degree, he continued his façade engineering studies in University of Bath, UK – CWCT in 2009 till 2012, and in 2019 he started his Business studies in Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Business school. He has also been teaching Façade Engineering for Pre-masters candidates, at the German University in Cairo – GUC in 2019 as a guest Lecturer.

Jan Scheers is a Belgium born glass professional working for Kuraray GmbH. He was born in Belgium (°1964) and started working for the US chemical giant DuPont after finishing his Bachelor in Marketing.

He worked for 14 years in the paints division in DuPont in various functions in logistics, quality control and R&D.

In 1999 he moved to the Glass Solutions division of DuPont where he worked in technical service, product development, marketing and sales.

Since 2014, when DuPont Glass laminating Solutions was acquired by Kuraray, Jan focused on Sales and Technical Service in various countries in EMEA.

Currently Jan is the Sales and Market Development Manager for the Middle East based in Dubai, UAE.

Haby Yaqob is an architectural engineer graduated from Cairo Academy, and studied Facade Engineering in Bath University in UK, CWCT certified, Autodesk BIM certified, a member of the Egyptian and Saudi Engineers Syndicates and an ardent aluminium lover and sustainability advocate since 2007. His current role involves in working with the finest minds in the field of architectural aluminium in the Greater Middle East Markets, Europe, and Africa. One of his key tasks involves extending partnerships with building designers, architects, consultants, developers, and contractors. The discussions usually can range from designing an attractive sliding folding door for a luxury chalet to building up a bespoke aluminium facade for the vertical cities of the future. Prior joining AESG, Abdullah was a senior fire engineer and the team leader of façade fire risk assessment team, and in addition to the engineering experience, Abdullah was a fire safety instructor delivering fire safety awareness courses for different candidates such as fire marshals, security guards, hotel staff, healthcare staff, restaurant staff and others.

He started his working life in Egypt in 1989 in the field of aluminum and glass facades, then moved to Saudi Arabia in 1992 to spend two years during which he worked in the field of curtain walls, and he was the first to introduce German WICONA systems and sectors to the Middle East region and implemented the first building These sectors on the Dammam-Khobar road in 1993.

In 1999 he joined the German company GEZE, the world leader in the field of door and window control systems, and moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2003, where he established the company's branch in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai. The branch that practiced its activities in the Middle East region through a network of authorized distributors in the countries of the region. And through his work as Director of Technical Support & Technical Marketing, he contributed to opening new markets for the company, which jumped sales numbers to more than three times in just two years.

In 2007, he started a new phase of his career, where he worked as a Projects Manager / Façade Manager in the largest Emirati companies working in the field of mega projects and skyscrapers, where he participated strongly in the urban renaissance witnessed by Dubai and Abu Dhabi through His work in the design and implementation of the facades of more than 14 giant projects that contain 34 towers with a height of more than 50 floors, 13 five-star hotels, commercial centers, banks, administrative and residential buildings, theaters and entertainment buildings. The value of façade works in these projects amounted to approximately 12 billion Egyptian pounds or about 2 million square meters of external finishing materials (glass, aluminum, marble, natural and artificial stone, GRC, aluminum cladding, GRP.... .) And this was in close cooperation with major international consulting offices such as Zaha Hadid, Dar Al-Handasah, Khatib and Alami, Aref and Bin Touq, WS Atkins, Holford Associates, RM& JM, EC Harris, Pelli Clarke Pelli and others.

In 2012, he applied for membership in the British Society of Façade Engineering, and obtained the degree of full membership in December 2012, with the unanimous consent of the members of the Membership Committee, after the committee was briefed on the work and expertise file submitted to the association. Through the same nomination, he was awarded membership in the Chartered Institute for Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).

He returned to Egypt at the end of 2020 to start a new phase of his career, centered on spreading scientific awareness in the field of facade engineering and making his experience gained over more than 33 years in this field available to anyone who wants to learn.
